Friends and supporters of GOODWorks, we ask that you keep in your hearts and minds, the women in our organization, especially those who cannot be with their families and loved ones this Christmas season. The strength these women hold within them is boundless and admirable, and can teach us so much about perseverance in the face of difficulties.
A number of the women in our organization reside within the Hartford Halfway Houses, and have dealt with several challenges over the past few months, including being in lockdown for the past 14 days, and anticipating yet another 7-day quarantine due to a new case of Covid-19 within the home. Many ladies have reported that although this time in isolation has been beyond frustrating, it has also allowed them a time for reflection as they seek out inner peace and formulate long-terms goals and plans for their futures.
As we all move eagerly into the new year and seek the relief of a fresh beginning, please send along the spirit of encouragement and momentum to all of these wonderful women.
