One of our wonderful long-time mentors, Tanya, let the holiday spirit lead her this season and set into motion a wonderful initiative to send Christmas cards to some of our GOODWorks mentees. Many mentees have been stuck in lockdown throughout a great portion of the holidays and it meant the world to them to receive some blessings and well wishes from the community!
Here was Tanya’s message to the project participants:

Tanya wanted to pass along this message to all of those who participated:
Thank you everyone for taking the time to send holiday cards (and in some cases $5 gift cards) to the women of GOODWorks. Your thoughtfulness and kind words spoke volumes and truly made a difference. How big of a difference? Here's what one of the recipients had to say in a note to Director, Miss Terri:
"Miss Terri, I want you to know how much I appreciate the cards - and not just because some of them had gifts - but because I have never received ANY Christmas cards in my life."
This holiday season please know that you have helped bring dignity and humanity to those who truly need it at this point in their lives. The gift is always in the giving.
